Active Krew Training ("we", "our", or "us") is a fitness tracking application operated as part of the Active Krew community. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our service.

2. Information We Collect

Account Information

  • Discord account ID and username (via OAuth)
  • Profile picture (from Discord)

Fitness Data

  • Body weight measurements
  • Workout and cardio logs
  • Nutrition information (calories, macros)
  • Sleep and step data
  • Fitness goals

Usage Data

  • Pages visited and features used
  • Device and browser information
  • IP address (anonymized)
  • Microsoft Clarity: mouse movements, clicks, scrolls, and session interactions collected via heatmaps and session recordings to help us understand how the app is used and improve usability

3. How We Use Your Information

  • Provide and maintain the fitness tracking service
  • Track your progress and display statistics
  • Generate progress recaps and visualizations
  • Improve our service based on usage patterns
  • Communicate service updates (if you opt-in)

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. Your fitness data is private by default. We may share information only in the following cases:

  • With your consent: When you choose to share progress recaps or participate in community features
  • Service providers: We use Plausible Analytics (privacy-focused, no cookies) for anonymous usage statistics. We use Microsoft Clarity for behavior analytics — see Section 4a below.
  • Legal requirements: If required by law or to protect our rights

4a. Microsoft Clarity

We use Microsoft Clarity, a behavior analytics tool provided by Microsoft Corporation, to understand how users interact with Active Krew Training. Clarity may collect:

  • Mouse movements, clicks, and scroll behavior
  • Session recordings of page interactions
  • Heatmap data showing where users interact most
  • IP address, browser type, and device information
  • Pages visited and navigation patterns

This data is used solely to improve the usability and performance of the app. It is processed by Microsoft in accordance with their Privacy Statement. Clarity sets the following cookies: _clck, _clsk, CLID, and MUID. You can opt out by disabling JavaScript or using a browser extension that blocks tracking scripts.

5. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including:

  • Encrypted data transmission (HTTPS)
  • Secure database storage
  • Regular security audits
  • Limited access to personal data

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access your personal data
  • Correct inaccurate data
  • Delete your account and associated data
  • Export your fitness data
  • Opt-out of non-essential communications

7. Data Retention

We retain your fitness data as long as your account is active. You can delete your account at any time, which will remove all associated fitness logs and personal data.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify users of any material changes through the application or Discord community.
